Beautiful

"Beautiful", nominated for Best Film Short in the New York Int. Film & Video Festival, is being re-cut by Paul Anderson (Creative Memories Prod. Sleight Of Hand, Just Desert) who will trim the picture down to under 30 minutes for additional festival submissions. Although well received, the current running time of 38 min excludes the film from award consideration in some of the major international festivals, which is the target for future submissions. Paul will be working on the project from Pasadena while Britt is in Wairau Valley New Zealand working on the screenplay "Amateur Night".

Once Again: "The Band"

"The Band", a 16mm short is being pulled off the shelf once again in hopes of finding a story amidst a mound of footage.

Written and directed by Britt Penrod, the film was shot over the course of two plus years at Warner Brother's Studios in Burbank CA and on locations throughout the San Fernando Valley. "The Band" was Britt's first film and has been through several cuts and nearly as many editors. This attempt will mark the fifth editing system and third editor...Britt. The film starred Al Nowicki with Shona Raye in the leading female role...as of the last edit.

No need to rush. It seems to be taking a while.
